like that of Infosys and Wipro which have grown considerably to put Indian IT
sector on the world map. Then came giants like Flipkart, and with it, arrived
an entire industry of investors, tech talents, advisors resulting in more and
more entrepreneurs. Success gave birth to success, and Bangalore was soon the
prime hub of all startups in the country.
Swiggy is the freshest addition to a lot of startup successes
here, rising to the topmost layers after a whopping US$ 35 million round
of funding from some of the best names ruling the investor market.
Jabong emerged as the competitor of Myntra
before Flipkart and Myntra decided to get together, and Jabong started
getting into a bunch of problems. Startup innovations like Bigbasket have
completely revolutionized the way we shop for our day to day groceries by
allowing the concerned shoppers to buy everything ranging from meat to cereals
to fresh vegetables online, and that too at reasonable prices.

Electronic or E - vehicles are a whole new arena of
scopes for India’s fresh corporate gladiators. Be it a promise for converting
conventional fuel into EVs, or to provide efficient EV batteries powering it,

Anandalal Electric is one of the
Bengaluru-based startups selling electric conversion kits to the petrol and
diesel vehicle owners. Its founder, VimalPatil, is all for making the
e-vehicles look more attractive, especially since the higher costing often
makes ‘retrofitting’ a strong and unviable option for the car owners. On the
other hand, people driving expensive automobiles rarely switch over
to the electric as that would drastically alter the performance. At present,
there exist only a few e-vehicle enthusiasts and pioneers willing or opting to
convert their conventional cars into electric mode, as the industry experts
often opine.
